Creating A Brand That Attracts Fans
Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to make a living doing things I loved. Isn’t that what everyone tells us?
For me, that was creating content (just like any other Gen Z kid).
But I was too scared to put myself out there.
What if family members saw it? What if kids at my school see it? What if people online make fun of me?
These doubts were so big that I convinced myself to go down the traditional path.
Was at the top of my class in high school
Studied engineering at the best university in Dubai
Got my first internship in my 3rd year of university at one of the biggest developers in Dubai
Realized how everyone around me is depressed and hates their lives
In my last year at university, I knew that a 9-5 was not for me and I had to find a way to be my own boss
Started learning about business and entrepreneurship and working on personal projects on the side
After graduating the same developer offered me a full-time position at their company (I was paid 2x the average salary people around me made)
I was “successful” in other people’s eyes.
“Look at this 21-year-old kid, he’s good-looking, jacked, funny, an engineer, and successful.”
But what they didn’t know was that I hated every second I was in the office.
I was doing the same repetitive tasks day after day. Only putting more money into the pocket of a billionaire (what’s funny about it is that the CEO is my cousin and that’s how I landed the job).
What I didn’t tell you is that in my last year of university, during my time learning about business and entrepreneurship there was a video, of a blonde guy with a mullet titled “Become A Digital Renaissance Man (And Join The New Rich)”.
It was the first video of Dan Koe that I saw.
I was hooked on his videos and binge-watched them for 7 days straight.
It’s because of him I started my X account and built my personal brand (and I’m guessing it’s also why you started).
But just like everyone else in the space, I was a Dan Koe copycat.
Sharing the same boring and outdated advice without adding a unique perspective to it.
I’m not going to lie to you, I thought I was gonna have 10,000 followers after 2 months of writing on X (how naive could I have been lol).
It took me 3 months to reach my first 100 followers.
I wasted months “trying to figure it out” and couldn’t. I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t getting more engagement, gaining followers, or making any sales.
That’s when I decided to invest in self-education and buy courses.
After spending $2,000+ on courses things started to look good.
90% of the courses I bought were about persuasive writing.
If I had To Learn 1 Skill It Would Be Persuasive Writing:
Why persuasive writing?
Because it’s the one skill that improves every other part of your life.
Want a raise? You need to convince (persuade) your boss why he needs to give you a raise.
Want someone to do something for you? You need to show them (persuade) that it’s good for them.
Want to sell more? You need to tell them (with good copy) that your product is the solution they’re looking for.
Want to create content that gets you more engagement and followers than creators 3x your size? You have to give people a reason to comment and follow you.
That’s why I bought courses on persuasion.
The results I got after buying these courses?
Growth was predictable
Started making an income through my personal brand
Had purpose in my life because I was able to help other people improve their lives
Big creators that I used to look up to connect with me (because they loved my brand and the depth behind it)
Writing online was the only thing I was looking forward to when I was working in my 9-5. It became a part of my daily life.
What Is The Point Of Writing Online?
If you’re like me, then your goal is to build a successful personal brand.
A successful personal brand is made of 2 things:
Having an audience that cares about you
Having a product that your audience cares about
Most people don’t struggle with monetization, they struggle with gaining an audience that is interested in their brand.
Writing is how you capture, hold, and turn people’s attention into a tribe of raving fans who will buy anything that you put in front of them.
Learning how to write (persuasively) is how you create a brand that has depth and stands out from the sea of Dan Koe copycats.
I’m lucky enough to have realized and figured out how to create a brand and content that has depth and not just some shallow brand that is entirely based on someone else’s brand (but done in a worse way).
There’s a reason why my content performs better than those who have 5k, 10k, and 50k follower accounts.
Persuasive writing.
If you want to start building social leverage (attract an audience), then you need to know how to write persuasively and create a brand that has depth (that people can’t help themselves but to follow you).

4 Steps To Creating A Brand That Attracts Fans — Becoming A God Of Your Own World
I call myself a creator and writer because that’s what I do on a daily basis (even if I’m not “working”).
I’m lucky to have met, talked, and become friends with big creators, successful entrepreneurs, and writers (looking back it’s because of the brand that I’ve been able to build).
I’m not saying to brag, but I’m saying this because just 11 months ago I had nothing. I’m telling you this because the idea of “making it” online isn’t a scam or a lie. It’s real.
You might not see or feel the progress you’re making, but you’re making massive progress (you just need to reflect hard enough and realize how far you’ve come).
I don’t brag about the brand I’ve built online, or make fun of the Dan Koe copycats (because I once was in their place and they’ll grow out of that phase).
But if you are reading this, it’s because you like the content I’ve been writing either on X or in these newsletters (or maybe you like reading it cuz I’m funny, handsome, and jacked, you found value in them).
I’ll stop chatting shit and get into the juicy stuff. Here are the 4 steps I took to build a brand that attracts fans.
1) Be An Expert On A Topic
A lot of people struggle to choose a topic to talk about when writing their content.
I’m here to solve this issue for you once and for all.
Pick a topic that you’ve been obsessing over the last few years (or see yourself talking about for years to come).
In other words, if you had to pick something to do and you weren’t getting paid for it, what would it be?
If you see yourself writing online for years to come then you need to make sure what you’re writing about is something you love.
Otherwise, your writing will suck. 90% of writing is energy transfer. If you’re excited when writing about something your readers will feel it.
If you still don’t know what to write about, then leave it for later.
2) Read Broadly And Create Your World
This is where creating a brand that people love is born.
There’s only so much you can talk about in a single topic.
That’s why reading about different topics, and skills, and exposing yourself to new information (that isn’t relevant to your topic is so important).
You can leverage “old concepts” that aren’t known in your space and make them novel and new again by showing people how they can be applied in your space.
Novelty catches attention.
Novel perspectives are the best (and easiest) way to capture attention.
You create novel perspectives, by creating a Content Map.
Everything you read, think, watch, listen, etc. I want you to take note of them.
Write them down somewhere (preferably in a place where they can be saved in the cloud so you don’t lose them).
Dive deep into each idea, and categorize them.
Entrepreneurship
Self-improvement
Marketing
Stories
Tech
Music
Philosophy
Human psychology
Answer objections, add personal stories, and if a different “country” (idea) can be added to provide context, examples, etc, reference them.
You’ll then realize how everything in this world is connected with each other.
This is how I’ve been able to come up with new arguments for the same topics I’ve been writing about.
3) Practice Persuasive Writing
The best way to practice persuasive writing is by writing long-form content—with long-form content I mean newsletters.
With tweets, threads, and long-form posts on X you’re limited by how long you can write.
Social media promotes short-form and bite-sized content.
Why newsletters?
It’s the best place to write deep dives about a specific topic, problem, or story.
Here’s how you can structure your writing (in a persuasive way):
Introduce the problem about the topic you’re writing about: Because every piece of valuable content is based on a personal or professional problem.
Explain the problem: By telling a personal story, case studies, or through good writing.
Give actionable steps that the reader can take: Being valuable and useful will never go out of trend.
Tell them what happens when they solve or don’t solve the problem: Make your writing stick in people’s heads by telling them what happens when they do or don’t listen to you.
Your Content Map is the most flexible part of your brand. You can use them as writing firepower, you can use them as the source of inspiration, providing context, examples, case studies, etc.
Don’t believe me?
Can you see how I online entrepreneurship and philosophy and relate them to writing (the topic I chose as my main topic)?
When you use this method writing 1,000+ word newsletters will be like a walk in the park.
It also makes writing a whole lot more fun. It feels like you’re piecing together a massive puzzle.
4) Building Your Public Resume
On the internet, nobody cares if you are the smartest man in the world, studied at Harvard, know 17 different languages, or if you know a lot of stuff.
They only care if you have things to show for it (proof).
Building an audience, writing newsletters, lead magnets, digital products, and working on projects is how you make yourself known.
You can go from a complete newbie to being “an expert” in 3-6 months of learning a skill, just by writing about what you learn, applying it, and showing people how they can do it as well through educational content (newsletters, tutorials, lead magnets, products, etc).
The idea of you needing to have certificates and college degrees to be able to call yourself an “expert” is a thing of the past.
TLDR: How To Create A Brand That Attracts Fans
We live in the digital age. Everything around is artificial. People are craving human connection.
But everyone is using AI-generated content and copying other authentic big creators (which only benefits the big creators and not them).
Standing out has never been easier. The crowd doesn’t want someone who’s “professional” they want someone who’s “chill” and “hip” (like me. jk).
People want to feel like they belong somewhere and follow creators who they think “get them”.
I am nowhere near being the most successful creator or writer, but I’ve been able to build a brand that people love.
Here’s a quick run-down of what we went over:
Be an expert on a topic
Read broadly and connect the dots
Practice persuasive writing
Build your public resume
Lastly, if you have a product or service, you wouldn’t need to promote it on the timeline.
That’s the beauty of building a brand that people are attracted to. They will follow you, read your newsletter (which is where you will be plugging your offer) and a lot of them will buy from you, some might even reach out and ask for things that you don’t currently offer—this leads you to work on a new product or offer.
P.S:
The pre-sale of The Modern Creator is now live (it’ll be 40% off until the day of the launch).
