If not now, when?

The other day, I read a parable from Jim Rohn that stuck in my head.

Here it is:

“On December 27th, a guy says to himself:

'Next year, I’ll get in better shape.'

Will he do it?

Let’s find out.

He parties too hard on New Year’s Eve, so he misses the first day of working out.

Then he tries to go to the gym a week later but can’t find a parking spot.

Work gets busy and now it’s February. Valentine’s Day. Plus, gosh, isn’t February depressing? Who can muster the energy to work out.

It’s March. The first sunny day hits. An old friend asks him to go to the golf course.

Who could say no to an old friend?

Then Easter. Then Mother’s Day.

Then summer comes around. And you can’t stay in the gym during summer. Matter of fact, the kids are out of school. Can't skip a single day of summer with the kids, can you?

Summer comes and goes.

August and September roll in.

The kids are back in school, but work gets busy too. Everyone at the office is making up for lost time.

Another friend sets up a golf date.

Can’t waste the last day of good weather, can you?

Then October.

Now it’s November. The holidays are here.

Thanksgiving. Christmas. Endless events. Family time. Can’t say no to family, can you?

Finally, the guy makes it through.

It’s December 27th again.

And he says to himself:

‘Next year, I'll get in better shape...’

=============

Most people live like that.

It's common because it's easy.

It's easy to keep finding excuses to not do anything new.

You tell yourself:

"I'll learn a new skill soon. I'll start writing online. I'll start my own one-person business… once I finish this quarter's goals."

You tell yourself, "Soon I'll quit my job and be my own boss."

You tell yourself, "Once my kid grows up, I'll start focusing on myself."

You tell yourself, "Once I have more time, I'll start working on myself."

But you're wrong.

You'll never have more time.

  • Once you reach the quarter's goals, a new quarter starts.

  • You won't have time tomorrow — there'll be an emergency at work

  • You won't have time next week — there'll be a meeting to attend

  • You won't have more time next month — there'll be a new project to work on

  • You won't have more time next year — your kid will grow up and now you need to take them to Football practice and watch their games

  • You won't have time in the next decade — the cycle will keep repeating itself year after year

You see my friend, life will always throw curveballs your way to not change.

You will always have something to do first before you do something truly for yourself.

I've always said:

"Imagine if you could do this when you have all of these responsibilities? What would your life look like once those responsibilities fade away?"

Truth is, you don't find time, you make time for what matters.

Learning new skills. Working on your dreams and not your boss'. Finding something to do because you enjoy doing it, not because someone else told you to do it.

There's only one way out…

Go in a new direction — HARD — right now.

This Friday. Carve out 90 minutes for yourself.

And don't waste time. Don't act aimlessly.

Building your one-person business all starts with writing on social media.

But you don't need to be guessing for 14 months only to see what works (like I did).

Act with the right information and systems.

Learn from someone who is walking that road right now and finding success with it.

This is why this Friday (April 11th) I'm running an exclusive workshop.

I'll show you how to gain 100,000+ impressions with just 1-2 hours of writing.

And do it consistently.

I wrote this post yesterday in 50 minutes, only 6 hours have passed, and I'm expecting it to do even better in the next few hours.

But please note…

This is a one-time workshop that I won't be running again.

That means if you miss it, that's it. There are no second chances.

Yesterday I said only 30 seats are left.

But today, 27 are left.

More than 1,300 are getting this email, and seats are getting snatched up quicker than I expected.

So to reward those who act quickly…

The next 2 people who join will get a 60-minute 1:1 consultation call with me for free (I charge $300 for a private 60-minute call).

Reply with "I'm committed".

And I'll send over the details.

Happy writing,

— Hussain

PS:

A question I got asked yesterday was:

"What if I miss the workshop?"

The cool thing about workshops is they're recorded.

That means if you attend or not, you'll still get access to the recording for life.

You can also email me your questions after the workshop ends, and I'll respond.

So it's a win-win for you.
